How God Made Dachshund's
God made a little Dashie to brighten up our day. He
took a bit of sunshine, laughter, love and play. Rolled
it up in a sausage shape just right for a hug. With
bright eyes full of mischief set in its little mug. With
little paws a pattering to take it here and there and a
cold wet nose, but then he thought " Oh, what about
the hair? Shall I make it long and silky or wirey,
that's so sweet or make it simple, have it smooth and satiny and neat? And what about the color? How
can I pick just one? Shall it be black, or red, or
brown or dappled, just for fun? " He pondered while
he made the world and all creatures great and small
and then the answer came to him " OF COURSE! I'll make them all! " So remember that a Dachshund is special from above, his coat of many colors is a sign of god's great love.
Puppy Time
Don't smell crotches, don't eat plants. Don't steal
food or underpants. Don't eat my socks, don't grab
my hair. DON'T RIP THE STUFFING FROM
THAT CHAIR! Don't eat those peas! Don't touch
that bush! Don't chew my shoes... What is that
mush? Eat your cookie, drink your drink. Outta the
toilet! Outta the sink! AWAY FROM THE CAT
BOX!! IT'S FOR THE CAT!! ( and MUST you kiss
me after that??? ) Yes, raising a puppy is not for the
lazy! Though puppies are funny, they're also quite
crazy! But don't despair, though it's toil and strife,
after 3 years you'll get back your life! So lets go for "walkies" you can "do your thing" ( and perhaps I'll
get back my GOOD DIAMOND RING!)
Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow
Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially
close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special
friends so that they can run and play together. There
is plenty of food and water and sunshine. Our friends
there are warm and comfortable. All the animals who
have been ill and old are restored to perfect health and
vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole
and strong again, just as we remember them in our
dreams of years and times gone by. The animals are
happy and content, except for one small thing, they
miss someone very special to them, who had to stay
behind when the beloved pet went away.
They all run and play together but the day comes when
one suddenly stops and looks up, the bright eyes are
intent, the body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run
from the group, his body flying over the green grass,
his legs hurrying faster and faster. You have been
spotted. When you and your special friend finally
meet you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be
parted again. The sweet loving kisses rain upon your
face, your hands caress the beloved head and you look
once more into the trusting eyes of your dear pet, so
long gone from your life but never absent from your
heart. Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together.

I Stood By Your Bed
Last Night!
I stood by your bed last night, I came to have a peek.
I could see that you were crying, you found it hard to sleep. I whined to you softly, as you brushed away a tear, "It's me! I haven't left you, I'm well, I'm fine,
I'm here!" I was close to you at breakfast, I watched you pour the tea. You were thinking of the many
times your hands reached down to me. I was with you at the shops today, your arms were getting sore. I longed to take your parcels, I wish I could do more. I was with you at my grave today, you tend it with such care. I want to reassure you that I'm not lying there.
I walked with you towards the house as you fumbled for your key, I gently put my paw on you I smiled and said "It's me!" You looked so very tired as you sank into the chair, I tried so hard to let you know that I
was standing there. It's possible for me to be so near you everyday, to say to you with certainty "I never
went away." You sat very quietly then smiled, I think you knew, in the stiffness of that evening I was very close to you. The day is over, I smile and watch you yawning and say "Goodnight, God Bless, I'll see you
in the morning." When the time is right for you to cross the brief divide, I'll rush to greet you and we'll stand side by side. I have so many things to show
you, there is so much for you to see. Be patient, live out your journey then come home to be with me!!!
Hope you enjoyed your visit!
Drop by again!
